Clean Slate Initiative

I do not propose forming a club or political organization, but want to get the
message out to America that we are not as powerless as we sometimes feel.
We do have power if we work together and it has to start with someone.
Why not me.

Our Country was founded upon a basic set of principles and values that are and have been historically based on
Judea-christian beliefs i.e. The Ten Commandments and the teachings of Christ. These values and beliefs are
slowly eroding and in many cases being abandoned completely. The government was supposed to have been, "of
the people...by the people and for the people."
It no longer is.

Lately, liberal & unprincipled judges have begun to make the law instead of interpreting the law.

Congress, both the House and Senate, Republicans and Democrats, have promised for years to fix the Social
Security System, the Welfare System, to give us Term Limits and any number of other things and yet there has never
been anything done on any of these important issues.

Therefore, we propose a grassroots campaign called "The Clean Slate Initiative." We, the people, choose to hold
our votes hostage, voting out incumbents, until a few basic governmental changes are made. The following is not
an exhaustive answer to all the problems we face, but we believe it is the best place to start in taking our country
back from left-wing career politicians.

1)        A Constitutional Amendment that says all Judea-christian icons are "Hands Off."          This includes but is not
exclusive to the Ten Commandments, "In God We Trust" on money, and "One nation under God" in the pledge.
Even if these icons are not part of your personal religious belief system, they are, nevertheless, part of the history
and heritage of this nation and should be held in high regard as we do the Declaration of Independence and the fight
for freedom in this country.

2)        Term Limits, no more than 12 years in Congress for anyone, no exceptions. (6 terms of 2 years or 2 terms of
6 years) All appointed Judges limited to 20 years, including the Supreme Court. No more life time appointments.
Bureaucrats included.

3)        Fix Social Security. The reserve becomes untouchable and at least 1/2 of required investment is privatized.

4)        Fix Welfare. A large portion of the benefits should go to job training and preparation, as well as vouchers for
private child care facilities. The system should provide a supplement to those with jobs who are unable to sustain a
minimal standard of living not cut all benefits for those who work. This makes it a hand-up not a hand-out.

5)        A Constitutional Amendment that sanctions the "Traditional" definition of marriage, one man and one woman
in a legally binding ceremony.

These are our demands. If they are not met, and every year there after until they are met, we will VOTE OUT every
incumbent running in either party, in either house of congress. Eventually we will rid ourselves of the cancer of
Career Politicians. We will elect people to office to serve a maximum of twelve years, thus eliminating the "I'll
scratch your back if you'll scratch mine" political mess we have going on now and accomplish some good for our
country. You may not agree with all of these demands and you may have others of your own. But we have to start
somewhere. I choose to start here. Let’s work together to take back our country.
